Get to Know Our New Advisory Committee Members


Monica Escamilla is the Center Director of Digital NEST Modesto, bringing extensive leadership experience and a deep commitment to community empowerment. A first-generation Latina, Monica holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master’s in Business Administration. Her career has included serving as Vice-President of the Latino Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Stanislaus Community System of Care Council.

In 2020, Monica was honored as an Outstanding Woman by the Stanislaus County Commission for Women and recognized by Modesto Junior College as a Positive Speaker, highlighting her influential role in the community. Dedicated to economic growth, she actively supports local small businesses, guiding them in recognizing their potential and impact on the regional economy. Monica is also a dedicated mentor, empowering the next generation of young leaders in her community.


Anna Genasci, QAL, QAC: Anna has spent the last 15 years working in pesticide enforcement and compliance. Beginning her career with Stanislaus County Agricultural Commissioner as a Pesticide Inspector, she soon learned that helping growers was her passion. After working in agricultural compliance with AgSafe, she now offers her experience to Farm Bureau Members through her current role with Stanislaus County Farm Bureau. Anna is a Leadership Farm Bureau Alumna, serves on the MCJ Ag Advisory Board, and volunteers for several Farmworker and Agricultural appreciation events and programs. 


Justin Miller was recently named the Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Kaiser Permanente Central Valley Area. Prior to this, he served as the Area Finance Officer (AFO) since 2016. As COO, he works closely with the various local leaders to facilitate, direct, and coordinate operational activities and programs relative to the day-to-day hospital operations.

He has nearly 25 years of experience in finance – including 15 years with Kaiser Permanente. As AFO, he was responsible for financial and operational performance and oversees the development of financial plans, performance improvement plans, budgets, and capital and business plans for the Central Valley. Justin previously served as Finance Manager for Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento. Prior to that, he held various positions at E*Trade Financial and Frontier Communications.

He has a master’s degree in Business Administration from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. In his spare time, he enjoys home renovation projects and spending time with his family.
